Towns are cleaning up in aftermath of tornado
Nine New Hampshire towns are cleaning up in the aftermath of a freak tornado that cut a swath through Central New Hampshire on Thursday.

The storms, however, haven't dampened enthusiasm for today's "100 Days Canvass" which begins at noon in Laconia and will be held simultaneously throughout the country.

And reposted is the photograph of a pathetic John McCain arriving at Manchester's airport earlier this week schlepping his own baggage and being greeted by a lone reporter and photographer. Over 500 visitors linked to it on Thursday but it was removed yesterday to make room for other material. However, by popular demand it's back.

1. I was coming through at that time (I now live in So. NH)

Didn't see any actual tornadoes, but that was one nasty-assed storm.

For that matter, we've had moderate to severe thunderstorms pretty much every single day for the last 3 weeks except I think for last Wednesday, which is the only day I can recall that was dry. This is only my second year (maybe third) in SoNH - prior to that I was in literally central NH (around the Lakes Region) and I'm having trouble remembering a time we had so much during summer. Whole months of March and April, yes, but never July. I don't know if that's typical for down here near the border or not. I'm almost inclined to believe the climate is changing.

2. It's got to be climate change.
These summer storms following on the tail of the snowiest winter on record certainly is an indication of something.
