IF YOU HAVE THE COURAGE TO RUN FOR SENATE WE WILL HELP YOU
Don't look at me folks. I'm a stay home Mom who supports the legalization of marijuana (even though I myself honestly don't use it). I don't stand a chance around here. We need somebody tho! :)

IF YOU HAVE THE COURAGE TO RUN FOR SENATE WE WILL HELP YOU

Are you happy with the way your senators have been voting recently? Do you feel that you and your fellow constituents are being represented the way you want to be represented? Are you happy with their votes on the bankruptcy bill, the class action bill, CAFTA, the approval of the most reactionary judges ever nominated by a U.S. President, and so on?

If not, as a participant of The People's Email Network, for no charge we will put at your service the full power of our communication resource to jumpstart an election campaign with practically no money of your own. All you need is the desire to serve your fellow constituents and a vision of what our country could be if our representatives would actually listen to what their constituents have to say.

The following section will give you details on what would be required for you to throw your hat in the ring. Deadlines are fast approaching, but there is still plenty of time to do what needs to be done if you ACT NOW.

HOW TO RUN FOR U.S. SENATOR IN THE NEBRASKA PRIMARY

To compete in the Nebraska Democratic primary for U.S. Senator, the deadline for filing the notarized "Candidate Filing Form for Partisan Office" is March 1. Here is the form:

http://www.sos.state.ne.us/elec/pdf/partisan.pdf

There is a filing fee of 1% of a U.S. Senator's annual salary (which would come to about $1,581) and you must submit an FEC financial statement. For more information please refer to the following links:

http://www.sos.state.ne.us/elec/pdf/candidate_filing_for_federal_office.pdf

The primary election itself will be held on May 9.

The above is our own extraction of the available public information in the links above and is not, and does not purport to be, legal advice. You should make your own independent decision as to whether to run or not. Please review the references for information on other possible filing requirements.

1. No takers? Jeez, that's too bad. I'd help with the campaign. I wish I was
able to run, but since I can barely cope with my life now, it wouldn't pass the smell test. Always on the edge of bankruptcy, having to beg for forebearance on my home, working as a temp, etc. I couldn't pass the sniff test for those who think all politicians need to be pure as the driven snow (except apparently for the office of President of the US).

But surely we have someone here from Nebraska that can fit the bill. Someone that we can all get behind? If for nothing else than to get out front and tell the truth to these people about what is really happening in our country.

2. You've pretty much described my life
I'd love to run but now's not a good time. Maybe in a few years.
