Looking Ahead to 2006: Unicameral
I updated the dKosopedia entry on Nebraska to include a list of state Senators and their party affiliatons (such a list, as I've found, does not exist).

Many open seats in 2006 due to term limits. Only a few incumbents. The opportunities are there, but we must have a Democrat run in every primary. Use nonpartisan elections to our advantage. Try to get a Democrat on the ballot in every legislative district.

2006 Districts:
2. Open Seat (R)
4. Open Seat (R) - Unopposed in 2002.
6. Open Seat (D)
8. Open Seat (D) - Unopposed in 2002.
10. Mike Friend (R) - Defeated Deb Suttle by 150 votes.
12. Open Seat (R)
14. Appointed (R)
16. Open Seat (D) - Unopposed in 2002.
18. Mick Mines (R)
20. Open Seat (R) - Unopposed in 2002.
22. Arnie Stuthman (R) - 53% of vote in 2002.
24. Open Seat (R) - Unopposed in 2002.
26. Open Seat (R)
28. Open Seat (D) - Unopposed in 2002.
30. Open Seat (R) - Unopposed in 2002.
32. Jeanne Combs (R) - 53% of vote in 2002.
34. Open Seat (R)
36. Open Seat (R)
38. Open Seat (R) - Unopposed in 2002.
40. Doug Cunningham (R) - 67% of vote in 2002.
42. Open Seat (R)
44. Open Seat (R) - Unopposed in 2002.
46. Open Seat (D)
48. Open Seat (R) - Unopposed in 2002.

1. Curiosity....
How many signatures does one need to get on the ballot for state senator? I perused the state constitution and found no info on it.
