So what did Hagel say about Social Security?
I briefly listened to some rightwing gas bags on WNAX (570 am, Yankton, SD) this morning.

One particularly stupid commentator said he agreed with something Senator Chuck Hagel said about Social Security, namely that the law was written back in 1937, and as such it was old fashioned, and we needed to have something more modern.

I thought: Yeah that's genius. When was the US constitution written again? We should probably overhaul that crappy old thing too.

Before I write to WNAX and tell the guy to pull his head out of his ass, I should probably actually read what Hagel said, but I cannot find a copy of his statement.

Did Hagel really make such a dumbass remark, or did the rightwing clown on WNAX misrepresent the statement.

1. Good luck finding Hagel quote...
... ever since it was revealed he was the one time
president of what became Diebold elections inc. Quotes

2. Great, I agree, but that is not for republicans who could care less
...about workers needs to decide. They just want to eliminate the corporate contribution portion, place the entire burden on the worker and expose these folks to the risks of the stock market. They want to define what they can and can not invest in and they want to structure the private accounts to be loans rather than investments so the worker ends up paying a hidden tax in the end. They also plan to gear it to inflation, which again they control. Stacked deck, shell game, pyramid scheme, where the wealthy few steal from the suckers.
