Republican ad against Skelton uses errors from the AP
Way back in March 2008, I wrote a post on how the AP was repeating Republican talking points as facts. http://journals.democraticunderground.com/hfojvt/77

Now an ad from the RNC against Ike Skelton is quoting that same article from the AP as though it is quoting an objective source when it is really just a part of the media quoting Republican spin. Note how this ad quotes an AP article from March 13th, 2008. The same article that I was calling for bogus facts. http://www.youtube.com/watch?v=Yc9Tss0cXys

It's a "plan to raise taxes on middle class families" if middle class means a couple with an income over $80,000.

A couple making $90,000 would pay a whole $300 more in taxes. Then if you consider that Republicans voted against the Obama tax credit, which was $800 per couple (actually it was originally $1,000, but Senate Republicans reduced it to $800) going to families which make less than $80,000.

In reality, it was Republicans who voted against a tax cut for the middle class. While Democrats voted for a tax increase on the UPPER middle class.
