Good news about the KC School District

Lincoln College Preparatory Academy, one of the Kansas City, Missouri School District’s Signature Schools, has been named just one of 15 Gold Star schools by the Missouri Department of Elementary and Secondary Education (DESE). Gold Star schools meet one of two criteria: Have 40 percent or more of its students from disadvantaged backgrounds and exhibit dramatic improvement over the past three years in reading and mathematics to high levels on state assessments OR perform in the top 10 percent of all schools on state assessments.
