The llegal in-kind contribution (from Mike Kehoe, who Blunt recently appointed to the Highway Commission) that Blunt failed to report from the outside.

The story:

Complaint Against Blunt Referred for Prosecution
Missouri Ethics Commission finds probable cause that Blunt illegally failed to report in-kind contributions for use of tour bus
The Missouri Ethics Commission announced today that they have referred a complaint filed against Gov. Matt Blunt for violating Missouri’s campaign finance laws to the Attorney General’s office. This is believed to be the first time since the Ethics Commission was formed in 1993 that they have found probable cause to refer an ethics complaint against a sitting governor to a prosecutor.

The complaint, which was filed by the Missouri Democratic Party, charges that Matt Blunt failed to report an illegal in-kind contribution of a tour bus to his gubernatorial campaign by Mike Kehoe, who he recently appointed to the Highway Commission. Only after the ethics complaint was filed did Blunt’s campaign pay Kehoe for use of the tour bus. However, even then the campaign only paid a third of the bus’s fair market value, again constituting an illegal in-kind contribution well above the legal limit.

1. Another P.O.S. repuke to me.
I can't fugging stand Mike Kehoe. He's nothing but a lame car dealer. (Not that I have anything against car dealers, just him)

2. What an ass, just like his dad
My landlord back in Springfield, MO was friends with Matt Blunt. These two young men were like peas in a pod--both assholes. And daddy Blunt is a big, arrogant right wing enabler.

3. This is not surprizing.
Blunt has shown such a preference for the corporation over the citizen already.

But like the Boonville bridge debacle, Blunt seems to have a sense of immunity from the effects of his coziness with corporate sponsors and capitalist cronies.

What I wonder is, do these fellows remember what the motto of the state of Missouri is? And if they do, where is there shame?

4. Blunt's folly
Blunt will be a one termer for sure. There aren't that many that are at all pleased with what he is doing, not even the ordinary head in the sand Republican apologists around here are taking up for him, and mainly because his policies are adversely affecting so many of the state workers. No raises, layoff, firings, and even turning over the main license offices to his cronies.

They were totally shocked when Clair McCaskill went in to audit their tag offices and were throwing a major whining fit about a now private enterprise being audited by the state and about their rights. I suppose they think that the taxpayers have no business knowing what happened to all of the computers and other state owned equipment that they just sort of inherited compliments of Blunt and company.
