9 DFLers vote to cut healthcare
On Friday, the House voted on HF1422. This is the Governor and House Republican sponsored Omnibus Health Budget Bill. The key part of the Governor's plan to balance the budget is to cut off 27,000 low-wage Minnesotans from their health insurance under MinnesotaCare. The House bill actually cuts off an additional 3,000 Minnesotans for a total that the state says will be 30,000. Some suggest the total is closer to 45,000.

Shamefully, 9 DFLers voted for this bill. Thankfully, 2 Republicans joined the rest of the DFL caucus and voted No.

Here are the votes:

Voting Yes on HF 1422 – 65 Republicans and these 9 Democrats
Fritz DFL
Hosch DFL
Huntley DFL
Koenen DFL

Lenczewski DFL - This is my rep. She has a 51% lifetime average from the Tax Evaders League.

Marquart DFL
Murphy DFL
Otremba DFL
Pelowski DFL

Voting No – 57 Democrats and these 2 Republicans
Abrams
Erhardt

3. Democratic-Farmer-Labor
from Wikipedia:

The Minnesota Democratic-Farmer-Labor Party, or DFL, was created on April 15, 1944 when the Minnesota Democratic Party and Farmer-Labor Party merged to create the DFL. Hubert H. Humphrey was instrumental in this merger. The party is affiliated with the national Democratic Party.

2. Shame! Let's hold them all accountable. Didn't they learn
anything?

How many incumbants were defeated last election -- 12?

It doesn't matter which party they are from -- to vote against health care for the most vulnerable is unnaceptable.

4. With you, katinmn
Will someone explain to me how someone who even pretends to be a Democrat (or a Christian)(or a compassionate conservative) can vote for this obscinity?

It is time for the pitchforks and torches!

5. Patti Fritz is no Wellstone Democrat
Patti Fritz campaigned as a Wellstone Democrat, dropping his name at every opportunity. She's a phony. Anti-choice, pro-bigotry and now anti-health care for poor people. With DFLers like Fritz, who needs the GOP? We might as well have Lynda Boudreau back in there.

Mary Ellen Otremba pretends to care about poor people. Always has a weepy "poor farmer" story to tell. Another phony. She's the most extremist DFLer there is. Even tried to pass a law to allow pharmacists to refuse prescription based on "moral" grounds." She's still trading on her deceased husband's name.

Both these two phonies should be given the heave-ho from the DFL. Let them go to the Dark Side where they belong.

6. The same is true of Ann Lenczewski
She keeps claiming that she has to cast votes like this because the DFL is in the minority and we'll never have a majority is the DFL doesn't go along with the Repukes on some things and I always point out that a majority will do us no good if they all vote like her. When I was doing voter ID for Kerry, it was amazing how many Bush and Ramstad supporters said they were supporting Lenczewski.

A couple years ago I pointed out that she cast votes that hurt people and all I got from her was a dirty look. I voted against her endorsement last year and I didn't even bother to vote in the state house race last November - why choose between 2 Repukes.
