Let's say the hate amendment actually manages to pass both houses and ends up on the ballot.
Could we win the vote? If we put our time and money into a statewide effort to convince people that this amendment is a bad thing, could we win over enough Minnesotans to defeat the amendment?
I read it is already illegal for same sex couples to marry in Minnesota. But I guess a judge can overturn and still marry a same sex couple. This bigoted amendment would prevent this from happening.
Does anybody know the numbers from November on states that did pass the no gay marriage ballot initiatives? Perhaps we could look at how 'red' the state in perportion from how many people voted to ban same sex.
