Jerk John Kline: Put Reagan on the $50 Bill

I posted this in general where it seems to have died, but I thought this would be of interest to Minnesotans:

More haigiography from the right, and from one of the most moronic Republican Congressmen in Minnesota, John Kline. Grant should stay on the bill for his Civil War activities if not for his failed Presidency. He did a hell of a lot more for this country than Reagan.

I'd not be against putting Reagan's mug on Treasury Bills, like the million dollar ones since we are still paying interest on the debt he left for us from the 1980s.

WASHINGTON - Minnesota Congressman John Kline wants former President Ronald Reagan's picture to replace Ulysses S. Grant on the $50 bill. Grant was a Civil War general who went on to become president.

Kline, of Lakeville, served as a military aide to Reagan. The Minnesota Republican said Reagan was guided by unwavering principles and a steadfast character. Kline has a photo of him in military dress shaking hands with Reagan prominently displayed on his congressional Web site.

Replace the leader of the nation's 3rd most corrupt administration with the leader of the nation's 2nd most corrupt administration.

...a reagan $50 with information about his misadventures, lies, corrupt administration etc. that's about the only way i could countenance reagan staring out from a $50.

5. What really annoys me is that the neo-cons have to remove

and denigrate someone else's historical contribution in the process (Grant on the $50, Alexander Hamilton on the $10 in an earlier proposal, Farmer Labor Governor Olson of the Olson Highway) and replace them with Reagan. What's next, tearing down the Lincoln Memorial to put up the Reagan Shrine.

that the common folk can use. Like FDR on the dime. They want Reagan on an everyday bill, not a bill that is rarely used.
