FNVW Conference: Turning the Tide: Toward a Foreign Policy of Human Dignity

Hennepin Avenue United Methodist Church, Minneapolis

Friends for a Non-Violent World's upcoming event, “Turning the Tide: Toward a Foreign Policy of Human Dignity,” is bringing noted experts from around the nation together to discuss with Minnesotans what foreign policy issues are at stake for the Obama administration, and what we as citizens can do to make necessary change a reality.

Speakers include: William O. Beeman, Chair, U of M Dept. of Anthropology, Middle East Studies; author Craig Eisendrath, Chair, Project for Nuclear Awareness, author, former U.S. diplomat; Reese Erlich; journalist, author, documentary filmmaker; Jim Fine, Legislative Secretary on Foreign Policy, Friends Committee on National Legislation; Joanne Landy, Co-Director, Campaign for Peace and Democracy; Lora Lumpe, Coordinator, U.S. Campaign to Ban Landmines and Cluster Munitions; Jack Nelson-Pallmeyer, Professor of Justice & Peace Studies, Univ. of St. Thomas, author; Kathy Robinson, Public Policy Field Director, Women’s Action for New Directions.
