The victims of a stabbing attack at a tourist site in Beijing, China on the first day of the Olympic Games have been identified as Todd Bachman, the father of former Olympian Elisabeth Bachman and CEO of Bachman Floral in Minneapolis, and his wife, Barbara.
A knife-wielding Chinese man attacked the Bachman's and a tour guide while they visited the 13th century Drum Tower just five miles from the main Olympics site.
The Bachman's were in China along their daughter Elisabeth, who is the wife of U.S. Men's Indoor Volleyball head coach Hugh McCutcheon.
The stabbing came only hours after what by many accounts was the most spectacular opening ceremony in Olympic history and it has already dampened some of the enthusiasm.
