Movie on MN history, Sacred Land
Don't Miss the Screening of Stop the Re-Route: taking a stand on sacred land

You are invited to a film screening of "Stop the ReRoute: Taking a Stand on Sacred Land. It is an Independent Feature Documentary from Oak Folk Films with a World Premiere on Thursday, May 22nd at 7pm at the Riverview Theater at 3800-42nd Avenue South in Minneapolis. Tickets are $10 and only available at the door, so arrive early! Doors open at 6pm with the film starting at 7pm. Stick around after the film to honor the activists and ask questions of the film producers.
Stop the ReRoute tells the dramatic story of a community's opposition to the State of Minnesota's plan to drive a road through its birthplace, Camp Coldwater between Minnehaha Park and Fort Snelling-land considered historic to some and sacred to others. This inspiring film bears witness to the commitment of citizen activists to live lightly on Grandmother Earth, preserve precious natural resources, and resist car culture at the end of the Petroleum Age, as neighorhood and environmental champions, Native American activist, and young people coalesce in nonviolent civil disobedience.
For more information, visit www.oakfolkfilms.net or call the Riverview Theater at 612-729-7369.

Hope to see you there!
