6. Apparently the "Ox" could not photoshop voters into the polls
"One of Ochsner's literature pieces features a campaign rally picture that has clearly been doctored. While the rally appears to be for Ochsner, it is in fact a picture of a Bush/Cheney '04 rally that has been edited to replace Bush signs with Ochsner signs. A close-up view of the literature piece reveals that one Bush sign was not covered up, providing further evidence that this is a fabricated campaign rally. Worse yet, this forged picture is placed below Ochsner's claim that he is a "voice of integrity." Pictures are available at the end of this post."

The images in the link below are hilarious. No wonder the guy lost!

8. Very good news from St. Cloud
We need to take back the government from the Robin-Hood-in-reverse nutballs holding Minnesota values hostage to their obnoxious ideology.

9. For some reason, I can't find the article on the Strib's website, but
but the Republicans' predictably talked about St. Cloud voters being "tricked" into voting for someone who is "too far left" for them, and the Democrats countered that they simply ran on bread and butter issues instead of on abortion and guns.

11. Tarryl refused to go negative
and also didn't let herself get dragged into wedge issues. She kept talking about the issues that affect people on a daily basis, i.e. education and affordable health care. She ran an excellent campaign.

12. Sssh! Don't let the DLC hear you say that.
Doncha know that if the Republicans bring up guns and gays you're supposed to dress up in your hunting outfit and stop off at the local fundie church to talk about family values?

10. It's also a setback for the hateful Bachmann Amendment
from MPR:
Supporters of a constitutional amendment to ban gay marriage in Minnesota are going to have a tougher time getting the measure on the ballot next November. They've lost two critical votes in the Minnesota Senate in recent special elections. Supporters hoped they could put enough political pressure on the Senate to get the measure passed this year. But voters have elected two new DFL Senators who oppose a ban on gay marriage.

13. Ha! I bet Bachmann loses her own seat.
I don't see the Republicans rallying around her in support next time.
