Anybody for a Twin Cities meetup over Thanksgiving?
I will have a very special DU visitor in town over that long weekend, and was wondering if anybody would like to get together the night of 11/25 or 11/26?

My visitor is DUer Sugar Smack, from Chapel Hill, NC. This is her first visit to our fair cities, and I want to show her how great our local DU cabal really is.

Anybody up for it?

PS: Here's a recent photo of us, from my visit to her in late September:

:hi:

7. Indeed we did!
We've been together since August. I've been down to Chapel Hill twice and this will be her first trip up here. Her dad is a retired linguist, and I brought her a copy of "How To Talk Minnesotan" on my last trip, so hopefully she won't have any problem understanding us. She's also a big fan of "Fargo", too, so that helps.

:D

:-)

Yes, I'd be delighted to attend a weekend meetup and meet Ms. Sugar Smack, as well as seeing all my favorite Minnesota DUers again.

13. Indeed!
It's not just my lame attempt to pad my posts.

Can't wait to vote tomorrow. My polling place is 1/2 a block away from my new apt. And I get to vote for Chris Coleman! What could be better?

Yes indeed, life is looking pretty good right now :D

14. Looks like we almost have a quorum!
I'm thinking something in St. Paul, if that works for people. Maybe the Liffey again? Or maybe someplace more out in the neighborhood? Someplace union is preferable, as is one on the buslines.

Any ideas?

15. i can go
as long as it's somewhere in the cities. if it's in teh burbs, it makes it harder to tkae the bus there, especially on the weekends.

Not hard to find, even for me, and I'm a born and bred Minneapolitan.

to coincide with Ms. Smack's visit to our fair state.

I mean, no name no slogan wants to introduce his ladyfriend to the Minnesota DUers. This is starting to sound kind of serious. :-)
