Dayton: NO on Roberts
http://wcco.com/topstories/local_story_266144739.html

Sen. Mark Dayton, D-Minn., told The Associated Press Friday he will vote against confirming John Roberts as chief justice.

He said Roberts was "unsuitable for chief justice or any justice for the Supreme Court."

"I am deeply concerned that he and President Bush's next nominee will shift the Supreme Court close to the extreme right for many years to come," Dayton added.

The announcement came a day after the Senate Judiciary Committee voted to endorse Roberts' nomination. The full Senate is expected to confirm Roberts next week. Sen. Norm Coleman, R-Minn., has said he will vote to confirm Roberts.

2. Roberts is unsuitable - he's an ideologue
The far-wrong is working its wrongs on the court and on our world with their fanatical positions on war and oppression of the poor.

4. I was just thinking the exact same thing
I know tha that he doesn't want to go through the Repuke attacks but I don't see why he doesn't like his chances. As red as Minnesota has become, it's still a blue state and Bush's approval ratings are tanking there just like everywhere else. Kennedy is also a right winger and can be attacked on that in a state like Minnesota.
