Get yer Michigan Democratic Party voter guide here:
Actually, this came to me in the mail from the Michigan Democratic State Central Committee.
Their endorsements are:

Governor - Jennifer Granholm
Senator - Debbie Stabenow
Attorney General - Amos Williams
Secretary of State - Carmella Sabaugh
State Board of Education - Reginald Turner Jr. and Casandra Ulbrich
U of M Board of Regents - Julia Darlow and Kathy White
MSU Board of Trustees - Faylene Owen and George Perles
WSU Board of Governors - Debbie Dingell and Eugene Driker
Supreme Court: Justice Michael Cavanaugh (I) and Jane M. Beckering

Some of these are already obvious to you and it would be pretty easy to find the Democrats in the voting booth, so the most important information here are the Supreme Court endorsements. The right wingers stole the Michigan Supreme court away from the people a few years ago. You can bet that they work very hard to educate their voters as to which Supreme Court nominess are "Republican friendly". It's our duty to learn who our party endorses, and to VOTE for those candidates. Don't ever let yourself walk into the voting booth not knowing who your party endorses for such an important office.

The Democrats also endorse a NO vote on Prop 2, the anti- affirmative action proposal.

Turns out you can vote for two, which means they are both running unopposed. I hate voting for judges....

4. Voting for judges
can be confusing. It took me about an hour to find out who had been nominated by which party. In my case, this is how I will be voting:

Straight Dem (all partisan positions). We are using optical scan. I don't know if I should vote each individual candidate though just in case.

Otherwise, Cavanaugh and Beckering for SC.

Hathaway and White for Appeals (turns out Zahra was associated with the federalists!).

Evans Circuit Court

Szymanski and Plakas for the other two non incumbent positions.

With the internet, the info is there. Gannet has a great website informing people of even obscure candidates. There's no excuse especially for a resourceful community like DU not to know and especially not to vote.
