Some pretty nasty weather rolled through Michigan today.

I was in Lansing for DFA training and drove back this evening. We had some really bad storms there last night and lost power in our hotel -- sirens were going off and the rain was unbelievable. Then more storms rolled in arouond 5:00 this afternoon and we lost power at Lansing Community College. Some people, including me, left before the final session to get on the road. I just had normal rain on the way home, but got all the way to 696 and then all traffic was being diverted off the freeway at Orchard Lake because of downed power lines. I sat there for almost an hour while they got four lanes of traffic to exit. What a nightmare! I got home safe and sound around 7:30 and we had no problems at my house.

5. what a day!

it seemed like there were tornados all around where i'm at. west branch and gladwin both had one but all was well here. not even a tree down. lucky..lucky!
