For every day you don't sign this, I'm donating $6.35 to Dunkelbarger

Starting tomorrow, February 9, 2006, Mr. Phil Dunkelbarger's campaign will get $6.35 of my money for every day that goes by without your signature on H.Res.635.

http://www.DunkelbargerDemocrat.org

I'll look forward to seeing you at the convention in Worcester, where I'll be an ex-officio delegate.

Please co-sponsor and support H.Res.635, which will create a select committee to investigate the Administration's intent to go to war before congressional authorization, manipulation of pre-war intelligence, encouraging and countenancing torture, and retaliating against critics, and to make recommendations regarding grounds for possible impeachment.

And please co-sponsor and support H.Res.636 and H.Res.637 to censure, respectively, President Bush and Vice President Cheney for failing to respond to requests for information concerning allegations that they and others in the Administration misled Congress and the American people regarding the decision to go to war in Iraq, misstated and manipulated intelligence information regarding the justification for the war, countenanced torture and cruel, inhuman, and degrading treatment of persons in Iraq, and permitted inappropriate retaliation against critics of the Administration, for failing to adequately account for certain misstatements they made regarding the war, and - in the case of President Bush - for failing to comply with Executive Order 12958.

1. Excellent idea . . . Ian
I hope you have lots and lots of money. :>)

My friend on Stoughton Democratic Town Committee said Phil will be speaking at their meeting tonight Thursday, Feb. 9th (at 7PM, I think). If someone's in the area and wants to go see him, the meeting is in a public restaurant (I think it's ALBERT'S RESTAURANT) and open to all Democrats. Here's the chair's e-mail to find out specifics:

2. Isn't the maximum donation $500 anyway?
I may need to use some Enron-style accounting, but if I include money I convince other people to donate, I think I can do the $6.35/day.

Especially if I volunteer to do fund-raising phonebanking.

Congressional Delegation in Iraq
C-SPAN
Iraq

ID: 191135 - 01/21/2006 - 2:00 - $29.95

A U.S. Congressional delegation visited the Middle East on an information-gathering trip. Led by Florida Republican Ileana Ros-Lehtinen, the group also included Massachusetts Democrat Steve Lynch, and Pennsylvania Republicans Todd Platts and Jim Gerlach. A C-SPAN video journalist accompanied them during their 5-day visit to the region, as they traveled first to Kuwait for a day, then into Iraq for the next two days, and spent the final two days in Afghanistan.

On January 21 and 22, 2006, they visited Al Taqaddum Airbase in Al Anbar Province, Camp Fallujah Marine base, East Fallujah Iraqi Security Forces Camp, Baghdad's Green Zone, and Balad Airbase outside of Baghdad. They met with U.S. and Iraqi military leaders.
