Kerry pulls the plug
by email

Dear ()

Yesterday I heard from Secretary of State Bill Galvin that he has decided not to run for Governor and will instead run for re-election. This means I have to end my candidacy before it fully began.

I cannot tell you how much the support and encouragement of so many people has meant to me. I have been touched and excited and was looking forward to drawing on that energy and activism to bring change to our government. One important part of getting our country back on the right path is to elect secretaries of state who will stand up for voting rights and restore faith in our election system.

I don’t know what the future brings, but I know that I intend to stay involved. I hope you will as well.

I wish you the very best for the holidays and the new year and look forward to being in touch.

With gratitude,

Cam Kerry
