Anybody following the Somerville alderman races?

I live and vote in Somerville, and on Tuesday I have the duty and privilege of voting for an alderman to represent my district (I'm not even sure there's a contest) and up to four aldermen-at-large.

So far I know two that I'll vote for: Bill White, who identifies as a Republican (mainly out of a contrarian streak, although I think he could fairly be classified with Edward Brooke or Eisenhower), and Denise Provost, who's a proven progressive.

This morning on my way to the T I got handed a flyer for a fellow named Marty Martinez, who I've never heard of. The flyer makes him look like a good guy, but of course anybody can print anything. So do any of you have any hard data about him?

And is there a fourth candidate I should consider (or a different third one)?
