Attended a Martha Coalkey event tonight

Wasn't very impressed. She's probably a good DA and said the right things - pro gay marriage, against the death penalty - but did not strike me as a civil libertarian.

Why do AG candidates always come from the county DA ranks, can't we get an acadamecian who can rise about the "peter principle" candidates, somebody who can represenent the Commonwealth against the abuses from the * administration (specifically sue to fund mandated programs)?

Anyone have thoughts on the AG race?
