Anyone living in Provincetown?
I am thinking of moving there for year-round, would love to hear from anyone who is already there.

1. I don't live there, but be warned, it's mighty expensive
I can't even dream of owning a place there. Besides, when the sea levels rise from climate change, P-town will be one of the first places to go under.

2. I can dream, and must.
I was looking at the cost of real estate there, and started feeling discouraged.

Then I looked at the map, the aerial view, and I thought: this land doesn't belong to rich people, and if there's a place for me there, it's going to find me.

I grew up in New England, on the shore, and have lived in the suburbs of DC for waaaaay too long. I am suffocating there. When I visited Ptown I felt like every cell in my body decided unanimously that this is where they must and will live.

I've been reluctant to move back to the shore because of what you mention, the coming rising seas. But when I got to Provincetown I decided: this is where I want to be swept away by the sea, and so be it.

I am an utterly impractical person.

3. I live in Truro
Love P-town. My kid met Quentin Tarantino there two nights ago. So cool and funky
Much diversity, the music, the art galleries. The harbor, the ocean.
Picking fresh organic cranberries in the fall in swales in the dunes.
Fabulous sunsets- watching the wales blow from shore. Street musicians

Dead quiet in Jan-Feb-Mar. Almost everything closed, but I love that.

We vigil outside theP-town town hall every Sat from 1:30p-2:30p
Outer Cape Peace and Justice Circle
And are doing up a float for the 4th of July parade

Farmers Market every Sat for 5 months of the year.

I mountain bike, road bike and surf all year round.

Have you visited here much?
