Brockton contestant finds 'Jeopardy!' a tough challenge
By Elaine Allegrini, Enterprise staff writer

BROCKTON — Chris McCarthy has been playing “Jeopardy!” at home for many years, but he recently learned that it's a lot more difficult to do it on stage.

“That buzzer is a killer,” McCarthy, 30, said Friday, a day after his first appearance on the national game show aired on national television.

He returned to the show Friday night after winning Thursday's final “Jeopardy!” and $28,401 in cash.

But McCarthy didn't win on the second night, finishing in third place.
