Real Md Republicans say "Tired of DINOS" Trampling their Party!
Edited on Tue Jun-28-05 04:11 PM by AuntiBush
This was hysterical to me when I read this. Nothing like watching inner-party fussing. We should learn from them.

Snip

Real Republicans gird their loins to go after those liberals Reporter's Notebook Gazette June 24, 2005 "Conservative to the core"?

Tired of RINOs trampling your party?
The Maryland Republican Assembly may be the place for you.

"Liberal Republicans have forced many of us who call ourselves conservatives to ask: how will our agenda of lower taxes and traditional family values ever prevail in Maryland if we cannot even win over elected Republicans?" according to the opening line of a membership letter from Michael Hough, president of the Frederick-based Maryland Republican Assembly.

4. Heard about that. Abt a Wk or 2 back... Hope it Didn't Harm the Scenery
Read that - it made me ill! Seen the local council quickly created an ordiance that no one could carry a gun near a park where that KKK were rallying.

Did anyone protest? I'd luv it if on one showed-up. No audience gives then no one to get off on.

P.S. Love traveling through Frederick County. Wish I could afford to live up there but the costs of housing is for the super-rich these days.

5. Ehrlich is psycho enough for all of them
I have heard Speaker Pro Tem Adrienne Jones say that he has a poster of Newt behind his desk. We all hear about his incessant winning, he is obviously not the moderate he claimed by be three years ago. He definitely has enough extremism to go around in the general assembly.

6. Sunpapers Ran a Piece Just Weeks Back Abt Connection to Rove
And WH Oval Off. Yes, Ehrlich... I'd love to hold the door for you on your way out, far from Maryland.

If you only knew the kind of horribly sad pain this 1 man caused me and family members... in a 3 year period up there in Annapolis fixing those policies so Marylanders pain & suffering falls under a cap.

All while HUGE BILLION dollar corps could get away with murder.

7. DINOs
This space has included discussions of how little party labels can mean to enterprising politicians eager to move up the ladder, so it shouldn't surprise you to learn that Montgomery County's only Republican councilmember (Howard Denis) lost a committee vote recently to limit the building of McMansions. It also won't surprise you to learn who overruled him: Steve Silverman and Nancy Floreen.

"Both Silverman and Floreen were members of the End Gridlock slate in 2002, which relied heavily on campaign donations from the development and building industry.

A recent study by Neighbors for a Better Montgomery, a political action committee, found that Silverman received 71 percent of his money and Floreen 70 percent of hers from development-related interests. But council members dispute the findings, saying they are not accurate."

Money probably doesn't influence policymaking though, right?

I think the extreme right should take over the party. And nominate their candidates for everything. That way it will be another four decades before we have to endure a Repub governor again.
