4. I'm surprised at the Sun's framing of this ......
The article subhead reads: Mayor leads GOP rival 45% to 39% in potential 2006 election for governor; Voters keep positive view of Republican

Makes ya think he's sorta doing okay ... but then ...... later in the article:

Voters overwhelmingly say Ehrlich does a good job communicating his priorities to them, although in general they disapprove of the way he has handled key issues facing the state.

Okay ... so he's a good yakker. That carries him? The next paragraph says:

Democrat O'Malley leads Republican Ehrlich 45 percent to 39 percent in a potential gubernatorial general election next year, with about one in six likely voters undecided. In January, the governor and mayor were deadlocked, each getting the support of 40 percent of respondents, with 20 percent undecided.

That whole paragraph hardly shows that Bobby's gotta lotta support.

And then, on another issue in the guv race, we have this:

Ehrlich would defeat the other top Democratic contender for governor, Montgomery County Executive Douglas M. Duncan, 44 percent to 38 percent, in a general election pairing, the survey showed. Eighteen percent were undecided.

I guess I know who we need to ensure wins the primary. Hopefully Duncan will take this as a reason to just drop out gracefully and throw support to O'Malley.

Run Marty, Run!

5. the Duncan numbers
are indicative of a candidate with low name identification statewide. I bet either candidate would beat him.

7. I was so happy to hear this
and to find out he has been chosen as one of the top 5 big city mayors. Hope the momentum carries through the General Election. Looks like the race is on, gotta clean my car and get that O'Malley for Governor sticker on it.

8. Dems have to push that Wal-Mart Bill that A-hole Erhlich refused to suppor
I read more about that bill and found out that of the five companies that have over 10k employees, only Wal-Mart doesn't provide 8% of its workforce with benefits. And included in that list of 5 is another retail chain - Giant FOod and a non-profit, John Hopkins.

8%, that's fricking providing 800/10,000 with insurance and Erhlich is going to support Wal-Mart? Sure, glad he's not my governor wasting my tax dollars on providing healthcare for Wal-Mart Employees which is exactly what the asshole is doing!!!
