milty knockett mills have potential buyer

Well it appears their is a biomass company interested in buying the mills. the catch is their is many problems to iron out before the deal is signed ,sealed and delivered!
I see a concern of one of my republican mainers stirring a similar thought of mine.

"Not to throw cold water on your enthusiasm but I would ask you to wait and see what this bargain is costing the taxpayer who is probably the one making this deal profitable for a short time to the investors. You should be suspicious when the details are not being revealed until the deal is finalized. The new government appears not to be a whole lot different than the last one."
I agree that the mainers money will be involved whether a tax break, grant or government loan.
what I want to know is how many employees will be hired; when is the estimated start up date; how long to get through the permit phase etc.
but the most important thing what will the wages be? will they match the paper industry pay?
Or will they be $10 an hour with little or no benny's.
It will take time to research the project -my hope is that someone will think of the workers who provide the labor for the companies in maine to prosper get their fair pay.
I'M AFRAID THAT LAPUE AN COMPANY CANNOT ACHIEVE THIS!

1. THE TOWN THAT PAPER MADE
As I was re-reading this a memory flashed passed through these ole bones. I would awake with a clock radio alarm set on the milty-knockett station. and it seemed like at least every 15 minutes you would hear this" millenockett the town paper built". ah how I loved this area the scenery, the lakes streams and abundance of wild life. the local people in the restaurant's grabbing a quick bite before they started their shift! hell I had a job that took me all over this state and I loved it. this could have been lincoln ,baileyville, westbrook or rumford!
A bustling milltown where everyones life was intertwined with the mill! the health of the community was measured by " THE MILL"!
COME ON AUGUSTA HERE'S YOUR CHANCE TO DO SOMETHING FOR MAINE! DON'T PLAY POLITICS!

GET IT RIGHT-KEEP THOSE GREASY PALMS DRY!
