2008 Campaign Office is Open
The Bath campaign office of the Maine Democratic Party’s combined campaign is now open.
Volunteers from 2006 will remember the location well: same Bathport space as 2006. Stop by, look around, and volunteer. There will be more parking in 2008 than before; it’s around in the back so volunteers should park there and entry will be through the back door.
The Field Organizer for Sagadahoc County, Kim Ballard, is working out of that location and will be organizing phone banks to be conducted there. Please call her at 266-8450 if you can spend some time in making calls to voters or in doing data entry.
Sherry Masters is the office coordinator and will line up volunteers to handle the incoming phone calls. She is looking for contributions and loans of office furniture and supplies. Please call her at the office: 386-0108 to let her know what you can contribute.
Coffee with the candidate – it is planned that every Saturday morning from 9-10 (before the door-to-door canvassing starts) there will be an opportunity to meet with one of the candidates for coffee and goodies at the campaign office.
Come March in the Heritage Days Parade (we need people to march in the parade please!)
The Sagadahoc Democratic Committee will be marching in the Heritage Days Parade on July 4. This year’s theme is “Homecoming” and the city has asked us to use lots of red, white, and blue so expect to see flags, buntings and smiling faces. Leila Percy and her group will be singing for us. We expect to see all the local politicians marching with us and we want you all to come out and join us too! The parade will form at the usual spot on Oak Grove Avenue; when we know our position in the parade, we’ll post it on the Bath Dems website so you’ll know where to come. Plan to be there around 11:00 a.m. to gather your flags, signs, and banners for the parade’s start at 12:00. There will be refreshments for all the marchers at the Campaign Office at Bathport following the parade.
http://www.bathdemocrats.org/I was in Damariscotta (did I spell it right??) yesterday and the office is directly across from the Hannaford in that little shopping center. They have a big sign that says Democrats.
