Discovery Channel joins the coverup of the dead

I just watched the last few minutes of a show SOS: Coast Guard Rescue Stories (which preceeded When The Levees Failed, the show I really wanted to catch).

It ended citing 35,000 Coast Guard rescues and the "hundreds still missing."

The respected National Center for Missing and Exploited Children's current list (10/7 1:56 pm) of missing adults lists over 7,000 individuals reported missing in Katrina's path.

While many thousands of these will likely be resolved (or go unresolved because the person who finds their missing loved one will never go back and tell them), to suggest that only hundreds are missing dishonors the dead.

If this is their position, I hope they will in future cite the figure of just over 300 persons who died on 9-11 when referencing that event, based on the number of remains actually recovered.
