City of New Iberia will be opening a shelter
They are working with the Red Cross, and the shelter should open sometime tomorrow. It will be located in our community center in City Park. The word I am getting is that the school system is also making arrangements to let school age children attend schools in New Iberia while your family is sheltered here. This is a nice spot located within our city park, so if you need a place to stay you may want to call the Red Cross or New Iberia City Hall (337-369-2300) to find out how to get your family space in the shelter. Our community is gathering clothes, personal care and household items for families that will be located in the shelter. God speed to you all, and pm me if you should find yourself in New Iberia.

1. Great news, Finecraft
We had about 50 new school age registrants today in Verm. Parish...I heard that Lafayette Parish had over 1,000.
