Dean coming to Lawrence
on Feb. 25, 2005.

Will post final details when they are available. Right now looks like Liberty Hall will be the place to be a week from Friday night.

Gotta love it when the DNC comes to the heartland!

2. He's coming here to MS on March 1st
my hubby, my brother, and I are going. I can't wait, I'm hoping that I can get a picture with him.

My husband says that if I can get anywhere near Dean the security isn't good enough. Not that he doesn't want me to meet Dean, he just wants Dean well protected.

I love Dean spending lots of time in the south and west!

4. There was ONE Dean delegate from Kansas
She's from Lawrence. Plus so many people showed up at 1:30 a.m. to see the K/E train go by that Edwards & Elizabeth came back the next day to a crowd of thousands.

5. My thoughts exactly
The price right now to get into the Dean event for the public will be $5-10. A nice Democratic figure.

6. kinda short notice
I am not sure if I can get the day off. Probably not since it is less than two weeks away. I work a 2nd or 3rd shift, and Fridays nights are usually busy.

7. Tell me about it
I just got a message saying the time still was firm but the day was. I was asked not to tell anyone (oopsy) until the time was firmed up. That should be by the END OF THIS WEEK! That means, at most, one week of publicity.

Dean to visit Washburn

Howard Dean, whose presidential campaign utilized the power of the Internet, will speak at Washburn University this month.

The former Vermont governor will speak at 8 p.m. Feb. 24 as part of the Washburn University Student Association Conference, an event that draws student leaders from Kansas and other Midwest states.
*****snip

White Concert Hall, where the speech will take place, holds 1,100 people. As many as 200 people are expected to attend the student conference.

Following those attending the conference, Washburn students will be given first shot at free tickets beginning Feb. 14. Students may pick up as many as five tickets, but they must show a Washburn identification card for each. Tickets for students are free.

On Feb. 17, university staff members and the general public may begin picking up tickets. Tickets are free for faculty and staff members and cost $10 for the general public. Again, people will be limited to picking up five tickets. All tickets will be distributed from the Student Activities and Greek Life Office in the lower level of Memorial Union on Washburn's campus.
