Haley & Beattie Candidate Forum
On Friday, July 28 - four days before the primary election - at the Larkspur Restaurant & Grill, 904 E. Douglas (Old Town) in Wichita, the Sedgwick County Democratic Party will host a luncheon candidate forum with Secretary of State candidates Robert Beattie (the author of Nightmare in Wichita: The Hunt for the BTK Strangler) and incumbent Sen. David Haley from KC. Beattie and Haley are the Democratic Party candidates in the primary on Aug. 1st. Make reservations by calling Sedgwick County Democratic Party HQters at 316-262-7534, and call soon to make sure you will have a seat. Lunch is $11 and must be paid at the door, and cash is preferred. The admission price will entitle you to witness this interesting discussion, which should highlight the troubling precinct-consolication/polling site reduction plans being implemented around the state, and will also cover your excellent-quality buffet meal, beverage and tip. We will start seating at 11:30 am, the buffet line will begin at about 11:50 am, and the program will begin at 12:10 pm.

The forum format will allow each candidate to speak for 15 minutes, and then will permit questions from the audience.
