Congratulations to Janet Lyness, new Dem County Attorney for Johnson Co.
Janet is an old and valued personal friend, and is very deserving of her 70% take in the polls yesterday. She is one of the most compassionate and honest people I've ever known. Johnson County did good last night.

1. I was surprised she got 70...
I voted for Janet as well -- I like her a lot -- but I'm really surprised that Maybanks didn't get more than 30. I'm not surprised that Janet won, just that she won by so much.

2. I couldn't vote for her because we moved to Iowa County
3 years ago, but we sure rooted for her. I know Janet had a full campaign schedule and it was conducted very professionally. When you talk to her you appreciate her intelligence and personable nature.
