King - Iraq safer than D.C. - embarassing Iowa again
<http://thinkprogress.org/2006/05/31/dc-safer-iraq/>

Despite media coverage purporting to show that escalating violence in Iraq has the country spiraling out of control, civilian death statistics complied by Rep. Steve King, R-IA, indicate that Iraq actually has a lower civilian violent death rate than Washington, D.C.

Rep. King’s shoddy “report” has slowly gained greater circulation, appearing in the New York Sun and on the Rush Limbaugh show.

Think Progress does a great job of debunking King's "statistics".

My suggestion is that King relocate after November 2006. And I cannot resist - of course D.C. is dangerous, Dick Cheney still has his gun.

1. Sometimes King takes to the floor on CSPAN late night
and he goes into one of his rants. I just about cry to think of the impression he is giving the country of my beloved state. Between him and Grassley they pretty much epitomize all the negatives that are pointed at Iowa.
I think maybe a new reality show is in order. Let's call it "Congressmen in Baghdad". Let's start out with say 20 or so of the most virulent supporters of our Iraq policy and what a great thing it is for Iraq. Then these congresscritters get to live with a family in Baghdad. Each week a congresscritter(s) is eliminated from competition. Somehow. Winner gets to brag for the rest of their life about how tough they are.

8. No, no, no. Just want him to follow 'the rule of the game'
like he's always saying about following the 'rule of law'. Whatever happens then is legal.

2. (smacks head against wall)
Damn I hate Steve King. And I don't mean I dislike him. I genuinely hate him.

The statistics were easily refuted. He's just talking out of his ass -- an orifice he's used to both talking out of and sticking his head up into.

Go to kingforcongress.com and check out his little spiel about the "Gringos".

He's nuts. Absolutely nuts. And he supports torture, too.

4. Plug your ears because I am going to swear . . .
Get the F _ _ k out of Iraq NOW! The massacre at Haditha by the Marines is just the tip of the iceberg. The Marines shot four families at Haditha in November 2005 at point blank range including five little girls in one family ranging in age from 10 yr. old to 1, and then shot their parents. Then they tried to cover it up until children left for dead were interviewed by reporters. Imagine a 7 or 8 yr. old girl shot with a M16 at point blank range and left for dead. Now, imagine her living through that without modern medical care and then telling strangers what really happened to the rest of her family and small town. What would you do if it was Hudson or Hiawatha instead of Haditha? They are killing these people in our name and in the name of our government. The blood of these innocent children is on our heads and our hands. And we are spending billions of dollars each month, money that we will need for Social Security and for Medicare in the near future, to kill people we claim to be liberating. F _ _ king lies!!!!!!!!!! Congressman and decorated Marine veteran John Murtha is right . . . Get the F _ _ k out of Iraq now!!!!!

Go to this link for more info: www.cnn.com/2006/WORLD/meast/05/31/haditha/index.html

I am going to e-mail Grassley and Harkin as soon as I finish this post and tell them the same thing. If you are reading this and have a conscience, please e-mail them too and tell them to bring our troops out of Iraq immediately! You bought the bullets the Marines used to kill those little girls. The least you can do to remember them is to tell your employee, i.e. your US Senator - "STOP THE KILLING, STOP THE LIES, GET OUT OF IRAQ NOW!" If you live in King's district, send him the same e-mail. If nothing else it'll get you on the NSA phone tap log list.

Chickensh_t King has never served in the military, nor has any member of his immediate family. Just like John Fogerty sings in "Fortunate Son" . . . "when you ask how much more you have to give . . . they just say MORE MORE." This is all about his Petite Man Syndrome (PMS). He is truly a fascist in the chickensh_t Nazi mode. The C-SPAN crap is about elevating his visibility on the national scene. It is straight out of the Newt Gingerich playbook.

My mantra until January 2009, "Impeach Bush, Imprison Cheney!" Maybe I'll add "IED King!"

6. What really ARE the reasons why this fascist is a shoe-in
in western IA? Are they still in 1899 out there?

7. Western IA...
Most of the time, all you need to win an election in Western Iowa is the letter R by your name. Most people don't know all that much about Steve King or figure (and this is a quote I've heard), "he's better than any Democrat."

Basically, the reason why he was nominated was because the Christian Right made a huge push for him and all the brainwashed Republicans filed behind him.
