Found Absentee Ballots in Iowa
I saw this on the news the other night. I wanted to send a link about it here, yet I have googled my brains out and can't find the link...it isn't even on the local news webpages???
Anyone else hear or see this... I know I am not nuts because I asked a couple others if they heard it and they said yes.

Thanks...
:shrug:

3. Found link to found Iowa ballots:
In an Omaha newspaper, but it's there:

http://www.omaha.com/index.php?u_np=0&u_pg=1673&u_sid=1264792

BTW, I used the Alta Vista search engine to find it. (http://www.altavista.com/news/) I suspect Google is supressing information about voting issues.

County finds dozens of untallied ballots

IOWA CITY - The Johnson County Absentee Ballot Board plans to meet Monday to review 186 ballots that were found after the final vote count.
<snip>

After an election, ballots are stored in temporary quarters in the administration building in an area with 24-hour security camera surveillance.

Of the 186 ballots to be reviewed Monday, 20 were in a box that had voter documentation and unresolved challenge forms attached. Another 107 were in a box with challenge forms attached without a clear resolution. Fifty were in a box marked "rejected," but without rejection forms to back up that determination. Eight were found in a folder in an area of the Johnson County Auditor's Office used for data entry and research.

5. Trouble with google??
Does Altavista really work better?

On a related note, I'm troubled by Googles news page since it only shows the pages by popularity. It's so milquetoast and useless. I'll try Altavista for a while.
