Holy smokes this state forum is hot anymore
Looks like we'll pass Michigan tonite or so. Let's hope it translates into action this next election cycle.

1. And it's kinda strange too
There seems to be about only 10-12 of us who post regularly but I guess most of you have something to say. Me, Hell I babble on and on. I do believe that we who post on the Iowa forum are gonna at least give it a shot this election cycle. Let's all keep up the good work people.

4. Bluzmann - you are our connection to the Quad Cities
and will be very important to us come 1st District primary time. Between you and Lincoln McGrath Scott and Clinton counties are well represented in the Iowa Forum.

2. More thoughts needed
I have invited other like minded Democrats and progressives to join in on the Iowa forum to get more ideas floating. I have not seen them yet.By no means do we all agree on everything, but so far we have kept it civil.

I keep trying to convince the local leaders in the party that they need to expand their campaigning to the internet. The cost is low and the results are getting better daily. They need to hit the forums that include other groups. Us debating each other here in the fall will be like preaching to the choir.

3. Other forums...
I've just started to make my way into these forums, but personally, I like the blog format better than the message boards.

5. Can't find any organizing in Jackson County.
The Dems had a fundraiser that I heard about a week after it happened. I did finally find an address for the county chair. I thought I would contact him after the 1st and find out if there is anything going on in my neck of the woods. AT least, Clinton, Dubuque, and the Quad Cities seem to be pretty active.
