For those who know Matt Paul, they know he's very good at his trade.
This seems like a potentially big stride for the Blouin campaign with Matt as the Campaign Manager. It'll be interesting to see what the initial changes and moves are like.

Thoughts?

1. My thought? Why doesn't Vilsack just come out and endorse Blouin already?
Paul's move to the Dean campaign in 2003 was certainly not Vilsack's idea but would have been a move up for Paul had Dean performed better in the Caucuses and all the other performances (sans Vermont). But his move to Blouin's campaign is nothing more than a lateral move career-wise if Blouin can win the primary (and one more loss under Paul's belt if Blouin fails).

He'll do a good job for Blouin, that's for sure, he's an asset to any team he works with.

I just see this as one more move by Vilsack to run Blouin's campaign for Blouin.

2. Matt kept the Vilsack train on time for 7 years
Matt Paul will make sure that Blouin sticks to the script and gets where he needs to be. A good pickup for Blouin and Debi hit the nail on the head about the Vilsack connection.

The next question is whether Ron Parker is far behind? He crafted most if not all of the Vilsack themes in 1998 and was called back by Vilsack in 2002 when the campaign was in trouble.
