1. Interesting!
Interesting to see that Blouin leads all the way up to the very end, but when it comes down to the final round it ends up Culver taking it.

I can see something similar if it comes down to a convention. With so many candidates running, if we get to the convention I really just can't see the activist lefties aligning with Blouin. I admit my experience with conventions is highly limited (hey, I went last year) but the representation felt a little more left than usual.

In that scenario I think Fallon supporters would eventually have to fold into another candidate - a la Kucinich - but who would it be? I would hate to see a repeat of last year's convention with the Fallon(Kucinich) voters feeling left out.

I think Judge or Culver are looking good if it comes down to that - at least for now?

2. Not sure.
I looked at the names on Blouin campaign team and I can't help wonder how many of them will be at a state convention. If no one gets 35% in the primary it makes the caucuses important in January or February.

4. Those elected official endorsements will carry weight at convention
Unless the activists turn up the heat at caucus. It could make for a very interesting convention....I'm going to my caucus...are you going to yours?

8. Sure, if you're a Blouin fan
But I don't know that Judge or Mohammed (sp - will someone tell me how to spell this poor man's name???) would fare well at convention.

9. Lol...it's Sal Mohammed!
Who I think is such a nice guy. I wish that his accent was a little easier to hear through because I think he has a lot of good things to say.

10. I think one of the great things that will come from this primary
is a compilation of new, exciting ideas.

It's unfortunate about Gregg Connell because I really wanted to see him in debates moving his idea about wind energy forward. I hope our nominee doesn't forget this idea.

The 2004 Caucuses taught us that even fringe candidates can have good ideas and should be acknowledged and sometimes embraced.

(thanks for the spelling help, I'll try to remember! :hi:)

11. In honor of Sal...
"Afwan"

At least in my limited knowledge of Arabic I think that is how you say it!

6. I know it's terrible, but we gotta support our home-town candidate!
One thing that the Weems candidacy might bring to the race (and the ONLY reason I can think of his running) is equal rights conversations (although Judge should be able to cover that too.) Other than Sol Mohammad (sp?) all of our candidates are white (I think) and Weems could demand equality conversations. We'll have to see - I still haven't seen an announcement other than the one on KCRG's website.

I just hope Chet understands....

13. Forget my last post.....
The only reason Weems is running is because he's gone batshit crazy!

Chet gets to keep my heart and my $$$
