Saw that Loebsack nearly equaled Leach in fundraising!
For the July - September quarter looks like Leach got $59,000 and Dave got $53,000. Go, Dave, Go!
Considering that Leach only need snap his fingers to get a million and it is very early, it looks like Dave is off to a great start! Leach is beatable this round, but it will take a concerted effort. We really need to back David, not only with money but with letters to the editor. The press in this area pretty much gives Leach a pass on everything. Considering he is a 30 year congressman, he should be doing much, much more than the little he is doing now.
Also, I see Bruce Braley raised some big bucks in the first district. I saw braley at an event and must say he was impressive.

1. Leach doesn't usually raise the big bucks like we see in other districts
He uses his false moderate image to suck votes from Democrats and progressive Independents.

But, more power to Loebsack!! I hope he exposes Leach for what he really is...a republican party toy.

2. 'Republican party toy' - funny and very descriptive
That damned Al Franken keeps describing Leach as a 'Good Republican'. I'll email the 'party toy' description next time I email a complaint. I just emailed him again an hour ago.

3. Leach's voting record speaks for itself
He only votes against the administration when there's already enough votes to pass whatever they're trying to shove down our throats (and after he's voted in committee to get the bill onto the floor).

Otherwise he's a sycophant to the republican party and doesn't give a damn about Iowa or Iowa's citizens who blindly send him back to Washington to NOT represent us for another two years.
