Hispanics and a Democratic leader in Congress are blasting U.S. Rep. Steve King for calling for "cultural continuity" in the United States.
Rep. Robert Menendez of New Jersey, the chairman of the House Democratic Caucus, said King's words reminded him of "a Nuremberg rally in 1933," while House Democratic Whip Steny Hoyer of Maryland called King's comments "misguided and offensive."
King, of Kiron, who as a state lawmaker pushed for an Iowa law recognizing English as the state's official language, said the debate over ID cards was really about the flow of immigration into the United States, according to the Congressional Record.
My two cents:
You can support his opponent - and stop Iowa's biggest embarrassment in DC - (and that says a lot with Grassley there) by donating to Joyce Schulte.
