OMG! It's all pink!
You would think that there was nothing more important than the pink U of I lockerroom. I'm kind of tired of hearing about it. Guess I'm not pc, because I think it's funny.

1. I'm glad its not just me
I don't think it does our cause any good to make fools of ourselves protesting the small stuff.

2. Hawks
I am a big Hawkweye fan and I loved watching the reconstruction of Kinnick via the internet. My favorite part was the architectural plans had the visitors lockerroom pink. I think it is a terrific tradition and I think the whole argument against it is pretty weak and ill thought out.

There are much bigger problems facing higher education in Iowa. I wish those issues would get half as much press space.

3. My question is...
Did Ferentz (or Fry) say that the color was 'girlie man' or 'feminine'? I thought it was a psycological thing (the other team would be thinking 'what the hell?' instead of preparing for the game...as well as pastels being soothing.

Seems the only one making this a gender-slamming issue is the one complaining.

However, death threats from fans do go too far....:eyes:

4. Much ado about nothing
Maybe they can add purple polka-dots to really cause a stir.

5. Breaking: Ferentz wants visiting teams in locker rooms to wear
"eeny-weenie teeny-weenie yellow polka-dot bikinis" to gain psychological edge.

8. Keep it pink...
I'm a UI student, and this whole pink shit is nonsense. Most girls I know here at UI have no problem whatsoever with the pink locker room. I mean, maybe if they had painted hearts and Barbie dolls and pictures of My Little Pony on the walls, then the argument might have validity. I personally buy Hayden Fry's psychological argument. I have to admit, though, that it was funnier than hell seeing all the pink shirts in Kinnick Stadium for the game a couple weeks back.
