He was on Rachel Maddow's show talking about his bill to allow our POWs to sue the Iraqi gov't.

2. The Braley is one to watch, yes.
He's on Iowa Public Radio now and then, and listening to him is always enlightening no matter what the topic or the format.

He's been a fave of mine since the first time I heard him -- would love to vote for him but I'm in the wrong end of the state -- I am shackled with Steve (Deport All The Mexicans!) King. gah.

4. I knew when he held up a copy of the constitution
at the convention and said something like "* treats this like toilet paper" I knew then he was my man!

5. I can't vote for him either, but I send him campaign contributions.
I now live in East Tennessee, a very red area of a red state. I support our state Dem candidates but let's face it, I'm able to help a lot by finding people like Bruce Braley, supporting him, and getting other people to support him financially.

A vote in the House counts, even if the one I helped get there is from Iowa.

6. I'm ashamed of King
Even though I'm in Braley's district, I'm deeply ashamed that Steve King represents fellow Iowans in Congress. He does not reflect the best our state has to offer, rather, Steve King reflects the very worst that Iowa has to offer.

7. He did good.
I went to his Congress on the Corner just to tell him that I thought he was doing a great job! He said that meant the world to him. Then I put me hands on the table, leaned over and said "Now how about inherant contempt?" I don't remember how he answered because we started talking about that Doan woman. He said he took that as a personal triumph that she's finally gone.
