<snip>

The Panthers have clinched the outright Gateway Conference title for the 9th time in 23 years, guaranteeing them a spot in the NCAA Division I Football Championship Series playoffs. The Panthers currently own the No. 1 national ranking in The Sports Network's Top 25 poll. And, for the first time in school history the University of Northern Iowa football team has drawn a seed for the NCAA Football Championship Subdivision playoffs.

The No. 1-seeded Panthers will take on the New Hampshire Wildcats in the first round of the 2007 NCAA Division I FCS Playoffs. UNI and New Hampshire will kick off at 6:35 p.m. (CST) on Saturday, Nov. 24 in the UNI-Dome.

UNI and New Hampshire are no strangers when it comes to the FCS playoffs, as the squads met in the quarterfinals of the 2005 playoffs. UNI scored a 24-21 victory over the No. 1-ranked Wildcats in Durham, N.H., on Dec. 3, 2005.

1. UNI looks pretty good in the first quarter.

But UNH appears to have a good running game. 7-0 at the time of this post but UNH has the ball on the UNI 10. Go Panthers!
on edit- Now it's 7-7 as UNH just scored. I don't know who this color man is , but he is brutal. Morgan, the play by play guy isn't great, but the other guy really needs to go.

6. That kid who caught the winning TD made one helluva catch
He nearly lost control of the ball three times before it was secure and he never broke stride. And he's just a freshman. Amazing.

7. and he blew a catch earlier in the game and was beating the heck out of himself
on the sidelines during the game. He said coaches and players both told him not to worry, that he'd make it up for the team later on...boy did he!

Farley and his staff have done such a great job w/the team (and the players have followed his lead). Nobody is a Superstar - they are all stars. One team with one goal. Nobody brags after the game, they all praise the team. What class!
