2. It's about time.
Thanks to the Obama staff and all of the volunteers from near and far.

We worked with people from all over the country the last few days and to see it pay off like this is simply amazing.

3. Indiana House race
Edited on Wed Nov-05-08 10:46 AM by Kevin Cloyd
With the Indiana House currently at 50 seats for the democrats and 49 for the republicans only district 26 remains undecided. With 28,000 votes cast the margin is only 20 votes with 414 provisional ballots uncounted. The provisional will be counted in 10 days giving those who didn’t have ID or those not listed on registration rolls time to present the proper information to county officials.

Combined the two candidates spent $500,000.00 on the race, or $17.85 for each vote cast.

District 26 includes West Lafayette, western Tippecanoe County and part of Warren County.

4. I never thought I'd see the day when Indiana went blue.
I live in Chicago now, but I clearly remember the presidential elections in the 70s and 80s. Indiana was ALWAYS one of the first few states to turn red.

Amazing.

6. Indiana democrats get all warm and fuzzy for Bob Barr
Yes, Bob Barr’s perennial five-oh-clock shadow would feel as
smooth as a baby’s butt when Indiana’s democrats give him a
big old hug for placing Indiana in the blue column since the
29,162 votes cast for “Other” (Barr was the only other name on
the ballot) exceed Obama’s 22,718 margin of victory. (Numbers
from Daily Kos)

Indiana’s Libertarian party is very right wing, had Barr not
been on the ballot very few would have voted Obama.

Unfortunately If Indiana’s republicans ever bother to do the
math Bob Barr will become their Ralph Nader.

Thanks Bob!!
