How about those Bulls?

After a terrible start (0-9), the Bulls have really picked up the pace. They are among the hottest teams in the NBA at 7-3 over their last ten games and they beat the Celtics tonight 102-91 to improve their record to 13-18. They won five games in a row against Memphis, Milwaukee, Indiana, Portland, and Detroit. They have lost by less than 5 points to New Jersey and Dallas in the last month. If these team could only close games a little better, I think they could become a top contender. They are definitely a playmaker away from championship form, but I think we might have a playoff team on our hands in Chicago. How exciting and relatively rare...

1. It's almost fun watching them again.

I think the turnaround occured when Curry decided to grow up. He's a completely different player now.

It's certainly possible that they could make the playoffs.

2. Yeah, it's clear that Curry has stepped up

Curry is the center and Chandler is the power forward. All of the guys are playing well together. Ben Gordon was a steal in the draft. I'm sure glad we picked him up.

6. I think the turnaround came when they changed 8 players this year

From last year we have 4 players

Hinrich, Chandler, Curry, A Davis

Its a completely new mix of players and the rookies are coming from winning programs (Duke, UConn).

So far it's almost halftime and the Bulls are playing some great basketball. The bench players are contributing really well. As long as Iverson stays cold, the Bulls have this one in the bag.

Sorry, I couldn't resist. :) I haven't really been paying any attention to the Bulls since MJ left, I barely know who's playing for them now. But if they start winning again like they used to, they'll definitely pique my curiousity.

7. Why im not an Ilini fan

Crighton isn't ranked, we lost our AP ranking a few weeks ago. As for Illinois I never liked them. Back when I was a Broadcast Engineer (If anybody needs a good broadcast or audio engineer let me know) for Saluki Sports I became a hugh fan of thier basketball in 2002. That year really turned me off to the Illini. First of all was the game in December where we lost to them by two points and then NCAA tournament when we both played in the United Center. During both games I sat near some of the most annoying Illini fans, and then they took our coach.

Yeah, sports tend to not bring out the highest civility in people. There's no reason to rub it in either. Especially when you have so many more kids going to your school for starters.

They've played 13 games and are 67% to last year's win total.

Oh right, besides those who play in the Horizon League and non-Division 1 basketball.

They are a tiger of the finest multifiber paper. Vegas knows nothing of it, and has them consistently 8-12 points better than they actually are. A man could get wealthy taking their opponents and the points the rest of the year, as they are soon to show their true colors...pink and white.
