So are there a bunch of us DU'ers in the collar county? DuPage? Northwest Cook? Lake? Kane?

Hi,

Northern McHenry county here....where my husband and I are the only 2 Democrats in the area. When we vote, they blow the dust off the ballot and when we ask for a Democratic ballot all conversation stops while everyone just stares at us.

I've been enjoying/lurking in DU for nearly a year. I like reading the articles and forum posts. I'm starting to feel more comfortable posting to these forums as I slowly get up to speed on how to converse somewhat intelligently about politics. And other times, I can hang out in the lounge.
