Swine Flu in Fox Valley (west Chicago burbs)
Just received a robocall from our superintendent. It's not our particular school district yet (at least that they know), but increased precautions until it does reach the school district and the health department shuts the school down.

1. the school that is in the news is right near me.
not our school, but one over. but cps is on top of it. we got a letter yesterday about keeping kids home, symptoms, what to do if someone seems to have it.
there is a large mexican community here, so i am not surprised.

4. They Closed A Couple In Joliet
We're about 20 miles away, but my wife's dad and my mom live there.

It turns out that at one of the schools (maybe both by now) that the cases of flu weren't H1N1.
