Donald Manzullo is the rep from that area. he`s a right wing republican that backed keyes over the objections of judy bar topinka and other centrist republicans. he`s in their pocket that is for sure.

i have no idea where the place is at cause i have`t been up there this year. i should take a trip up that way cause it`s about 35 miles north. i have been driving through that country for 40 years and watched galena go from nothing to a tourist trap. i smoked many a day driving through the hills and valleys and it makes me ill to think these bastards are up there.

He is the mayor of Barrington Hills, I think.

I have spoken to him a couple of times. He is a serious candidate, and a very smart guy. I think he had an article in the RR Star not long ago. (I never read that republican rag).

Wouldn't it be nice to get rid of Manzullo?

Also, I don't know if you read the Freeport paper, but it has had some interesting articles about this Blackwater place. There is a group up there opposing Blackwater. They want to know, among other things, why all the secrecy? So far, I have only seen one letter singing Blackwater's praises, and several opposing them. The favorable letter was from a law enforcement person, who had received some weapons training at the place. I guess that is Blackwater's way of giving back to the community.
