Fourth Anniversary of the War in Iraq - Events Today!

Join us for a peace vigil featuring American Friends Service Committee's "Eyes Wide Open"
display of boots commemorating those killed in Iraq, both American and Iraqi.

On Saturday, March 17th citizens from across DuPage County and throughout the Western Suburbs
will be rallying for an end to the war in Iraq and calling to bring our troops home.
The day’s activities will begin with a 2:30 pm rally at the Old Town Park in Bloomingdale
(1 block West and South of Lake St. & Bloomingdale Rd.). Starting at approximately 3:30 pm
there will be a march from the park to the street corner near Congressman Peter Roskam’s
Bloomingdale office (Southwest corner of Bloomingdale Rd. and Schick Rd, in Bloomingdale).
Participants will vigil with signs and banners at the corner of Bloomingdale & Schick Roads until 4:30 pm.

We will visit the Congressman's office to ask him to publicly oppose the war.
We will hold a vigil outside to engage the public.
