I've been so busy, fighting the national fight, I haven't become as familiar as I'd like w/Illinois races. Am boning up, this w/e and need all the help I can get.

2. Too funny!

This just locked in my vote for John Laesch in the 14th. A site that quotes Patrick Henry and then chooses "peace" candidates is just too funny. A look at the website shows rejection of enough Democrats to ensure GOP dominance for eternity. The inclusion on their web page of a "must read" by wacko Wayne Madsen proves to me that they are really out of touch with reality.

3. what`s wrong with zamora?

he`s a fine canidate and it` seems we finally have chose of two decent canidates to lose to fatboy..i`m voting for zamora because i think he`s the best canidate in the 14th.

5. There is nothing wrong with Zamora.

His endorsement by this fringe group is no help however. I've met both candidates and like them both. I believe however that although a win is unlikely, John has the better chance in this District. He has been far better organized from the onset. I became disappointed with Zamora's endorsement of the GOP machine endorsed candidate for mayor of Aurora. That tips the scales to Laesch IMO.

i do the trash that i have been getting from the dp of ill. when they say- beware of forrest claypool, he is not what he seems!- i say, well i knew i liked this guy. same with the treasurers race.
i aspire to the same in my personal life. "there are some people one would hope to offend"- john cleese, on the censors ar the bbc.

I find them disagreeable and think that if they feel that way about DU, they should not be posting here with links to their crap.

7. You have a right to support whichever candidates you want

However, an attack on an organization chartered by the Democratic Party is not appropriate here. In addition to being chartered by the Democratic Party, the PHDC is also a PDA patrner. The PHDC is one of the leaders of the fight to impeach Bush and kick out Cheney, et al. The site has a great many links, including to PDA, Democrats.com, various Democratic candidates and so forth. It's action alerts have been among the best on the Internet, asking people from all states to oppose Bush's nominees and bills. The PHDC has also worked to rally support for Conyer's resolutions and for Feingold's censure resolution.

If you disagree with their point of view, it is OK, but please use civility when you refer to Democrat organizations.

If this organization has its way the GOP will dominate this country forever. And your concerned about attacking Democrats? It's one thing to disagree, as you say, but then why ask voters to vote against such a large number of Democrats? It doesn't seem civil for "an organization chartered by the Democratic Party" to launch a wholesale attack against Democrats.
